CHECK IT OUT–BIG FISH!

Finally getting around to sending you a pic of that rainbow I caught July 12th at Bear!  I was too far away from the car to run back and get a tape to measure him!  He was caught with a fly following a bubble!  If it helps anyone guess its size my arm is 21″ from elbow to finger tip so I would guess it was pretty long maybe the next person can measure it but I didn’t want to take a chance of it dying! –David Graff

27-inch Rainbow caught and released on July 12, 2011 at Bear Lake.  Estimated weight is 6.25 to 7.9 pounds–Awesome David!! You are a great Sportsman & current all-time record holder!

Brian Rowe caught this 22" 5.5-lb Trout at Dragonfly Lake Aug 14, 2011.

Brian Rowe had lost 3 other good size fish earlier so he was determined not to lose this one….  For 20 minutes Brian wore this fish down having the fish swim toward the shore and then back out to the lake.  Soon to be retired from the US Forest Service, Brian is looking forward in spending more of his time trying to catch a bigger and better fish.  Brian is the son-in-law of Al and Nancy Hayes, members of Trout Haven.

BIG fish story to share with all her class mates in the fall and the rest of us are searching rapidly for all the Hannah Montana purple fishing poles we can find!!!!

WOW… Sarah has shattered the records! Monster Trout caught at Dragonfly Lake on June 25, 2011 was 21-inch long and 5.3 lbs. Sarah uses a Hannah Montana purple fishing pole, with multi color Blue Moon Power Bait.
This is Sarah Campbell 9 years old.  Granddaughter of Rich and Diana Schultz, members of The Lost Dutchman (Trout Haven) Resort.  Sarah had the first catch of the day, a 18-incher (not shown).  Sooo, when Sarah was screaming “I can’t do it, I can’t do it, I’m afraid, Daddy I need help!” her Dad told her casually, “Oh, you can reel it in, you just caught a 18 incher.”  The fish took the line and swam across lake and pulled her line so hard that Sarah could not reel it in, but held on tightly, still screaming for help.  Sarah continued to scream–the fish was pulling her!  Her Mom finally assisted Sarah in reeling the fish up to the shoreline.  And all of us were just amazed at how LARGE this fish really was.  Sarah has a BIG fish story to share with all her class mates in the fall and the rest of us are searching rapidly for all the Hannah Montana purple fishing poles we can find!!!!
